Mountains & Valleys is the creative/ collaborative band from Syracuse, NY led by Merritt Harris. Merritt started playing music at a young age, both leading bands and supporting several bands as drummer and bassist. Merritt started pursing song writing when he was 18 and recorded his first full length folk album "Ephaphatha, be Opened." After a series of other musical projects, he decided to form a collective to explore the sonic possibilities within a full band context. Mountains & Valleys was born as a collective of folks inspired to make indie rock tunes that are accessible to the casual listener yet appealing to the critical ear.
Mountains & Valleys recorded their single "BOLD" at New Vine Media in Ithaca, NY then decided to record and mix the rest of the album independently. Mountains & Valleys self titled album is something that you will want to share with your friends. It is an album full of human struggle, stories and irony. Mountains & Valleys created an album that will keep your head curious, your heart searching and make your ears happy.
